So Many Things to Do!

I have the house to myself this afternoon. Stonelaughter has the week off work, and he has taken the children to visit their older sister this afternoon. Peace reigns at home. I had a long list of things I wanted to do this afternoon, and I would like to announce that I have completed them all!

It's peaceful without them here!

It’s peaceful without them here!

I’d like to, but I can’t. #HaventStartedThemYet  The Queen of Procrastination is at home. Fly the flag.

On my list of things to do was writing some blog posts. Not this one of course, because that would be doing something on my list. No, I should be writing and scheduling some posts for towards the end of the week when I will be living in a field, selling my lovely books and giving people tattoos of henna, glitter or both. Instead, I’m writing this one, about how I’m not writing the other ones.

I should be cleaning my car out, ready for packing it full of camping gear. Instead, I have shaved my head again. And cleaned up that mess. That’s the only thing I don’t like about shaving my head – the absolute mess it makes and the fact that there’s no way of doing it quickly; I need to shower afterwards and it takes forever to get rid of the tiny, almost dust-like pieces of hair left by the clippers. In my defence though, Stonelaughter took my car this afternoon.

Other things on my list have been replaced by turning a couple of pairs of PK’s hippie trousers into hippy shorts, since they were too short now, but we still love them. Oh, and I’ve managed a couple of decent words in Countdown.

So, now I must get on. Please stop distracting me.

  1. I understand your pain when it comes to procrastination – sometimes it is too easy to be distracted!

  2. whenever I have a day to myself I ALWAYS make a huge list of to-do’s… basically setting myself up for failure, since I never get to any of them! 😉 Enjoy your day!
