100 Happy Days – Day 86

Image2sidToday was the day I realised that I don’t have a baby any more. PK is most definitely a toddler, whether I want to admit it or not. He’s been toddling for a few months now, and the last couple of weeks have brought several new words a day, since he copies everything we say now.

On Tuesday night, PK counted to ten for the first time. He was very pleased with himself. You might think that this would be the indication that my baby was a baby no longer, but it was what happened on Wednesday that made my mind up.

On Wednesday, having noticed that getting to ten brought him applause and cheers and the like, he decided to shorten the journey. By Wednesday lunchtime he had gone from “one, two, threeeee, four, fiiii, sees, seben, eight, ine, ten!” to simply “one, twooooo, eight, ine, te-yeaahhhhhhh!” whilst clapping himself. Not that’s he’s looking for short cuts or anything, you understand *roll eyes*

  1. Children grow up so fast. We have to make the most of every moment.

  2. Aww bless. It’s so hard isn’t it? Every time Oscar does something new I’m happy, but I feel a little sad at the same time!

  3. Hahaha I love when kids do that *short cuts* it’s just too cute lol x

  4. Love this! I just got my almost two-year-old a backpack for his 2s program that he’s entering, and when I saw him in it (he looked so proud), I almost cried! Where did my baby go!
