Moogly CAL Number 6
A-Z Challenge letter: M – Moogly
If you read this blog regularly, you’ll know that I am taking part in the 2014 Moogly Afghan CAL (Crochet ALong). I’m a bit behind, because I should be working on square 7 and I only finished square 6 last night (and only for the first blanket – there are four others waiting to get this far!)
However, it is done. This one is crocheted in Afghan weight cotton with a 6.5mm hook. The colours in the picture aren’t as true as I would have liked – they are a deep purple and a duck egg blue.
This square will be part of a blanket which is made up of a real mix of colours and yarns. The other blankets I’m making are all made from just three colours.
Anyone else out there taking part in the CAL?
This is so pretty! I think it’s great that you have a skill like this. Your not that far behind. 🙂
Aww this is lovely, although it doesn’t show up I can imagine the duck egg blue is beautiful. I can’t wait to see the finished blanket

I always wanted to learn how to crochet, but never did. I am not much of needling person. I tried picking up cross-stitching, but I just couldn’t hang with it. The small work became too much for my eyes. I have a several unfinished projects to this day and I’m clinging to the hop I’ll get interested in doing it again…someday. Maybe, I will and then maybe I won’t. Nice job!
A beautiful bit of crochet! I will anxiously await the finished products
