Gone to the Dogs

Today was one of those days when things did not go according to plan. I was supposed to be at Ashe Hall with my books and castings, at their Christmas Fair. Stonelaughter was supposed to be with me with his flutes.

I got up on time and immediately realised it wasn’t happening. I felt dreadful. I made a Lemsip and took it back to ed in the hope that I would feel better. My teeth were chattering and I was shivering like a thing gone mad but the house was warm. Most bits of me hurt and the bits that didn’t hurt ached. The Lemsip didn’t help. I wouldn’t mind, but I had a flu jab a couple of weeks ago.

I’ve spent the rest of the day in bed, mostly asleep. I’m feeling mildly better now, but I know it’s not going to last. And my fingers still hurt like crazy. I don’t have time for this – life is too busy at this point of the year!
