I’ve Been Nominated for an Award!
Nicola Kelsall is pleased to announce that she has been nominated for the Shining Star Award at the Party Plan Conference and Awards 2012. In the first of its kind in the UK, The Party Plan Guru and Party Plan United have joined together to host this event which is designed to support and celebrate everyone involved in the party plan industry in the UK. This is a fantastic opportunity for Nicola and she wanted to share how thrilled and honoured she is to receive this nomination. It is an exceptional way to celebrate how far she has come since leaving a full time teaching career to set up in business.
Nicola, from Sutton in Ashfield, spent 12 years in teaching but left to set up in business. As an Ambassador for Barefoot Books, she promotes children’s literacy and brings stories from around the world to Nottinghamshire. The books she sells allow children to explore other cultures, our planet and themselves. Living Barefoot is about making time for make-believe and letting imaginations run wild and free. Most of all, it’s about using the power of stories to nourish the creative spark in everyone and strengthen connections with family, the global community, and the earth. Barefoot Books began with two mothers who wanted their children to have books that would feed the imagination, while instilling a respect for diversity and a love of the planet. Today, Barefoot Books is a world-wide community of writers, artists, storytellers, musicians, and others who are committed to providing timeless stories and captivating art that can help children become happy, engaged members of a global society.
Paula Giles, the lady behind the event and The Party Plan Guru says, “Being nominated for an award is an amazing feeling, but when it’s from your colleagues or other people in the industry it’s even better. As direct sellers we don’t get the recognition we deserve, in our businesses we are the sales department, marketing department, accounts department – everything, so winning an award for recognising how hard you work makes it so much better”
The Party Plan Conference and Awards 2012 are being held on Saturday 28th January 2012 at The Queens Hotel, Bournemouth. With inspiring and informative speakers that will help develop and build any business, opportunities to look into what each direct selling and party plan company has to offer and lots of opportunities to network with likeminded people. A great way to share and embrace the fantastic opportunities direct selling, MLM and Party Plan have to offer.
