100 Happy Days – Day 53
People often comment on how busy I must be and wonder how I find time for all the things I do. To be honest, it generally doesn’t feel too bad. Just lately though, I have got very behind with one project – I’ve been taking part in the Moogly Afghan CAL and realised that I’m two squares behind at the moment. Since I started the CAL, during which participants create an Afghan blanket made of 24 crocheted 12″ squares, I decided to make some extras. So, in reality I should be crocheting 120 squares, not 24 (the patterns are released every 2 weeks until the end of November).
Well, the pattern for number 8 has been released, and I haven’t started number 7 yet and I haven’t got very far with the extras either. Oops. Anyway, I’ve blasted through some over the last couple of days and today I finished a new one I was trying out, which I really love. I can’t wait to get started on the other squares in this pattern.
My mam used to make millions of these squares when I was young. I wish I’d listened when she tried to show me how to do it

It’s really easy to learn – I taught myself when I was pregnant with my second child. There are loads of tutorials and videos online to help
Wow, 120 squares. That’s impressive and shows a great deal of patience and concentration. Good luck with it all. Can’t wait to see the finished blanket.
