Crochet Project – Owl Cushion
A-Z Challenge letter: O – Owl
I’ve been waiting to share this for a while. I came across this crochet pattern a little while ago whilst I was searching for a pattern for something else, and thought it would be brilliant for my mother-in-law, who collects owls. It was about 6 weeks before Mother’s Day, so I decided to make it.
And having made it, I couldn’t then share it because I didn’t want her to see it beforehand. And then when I could share it, I decided I needed to save it for this challenge!
So here it is, the owl cushion. I used this pattern by Debi Birkin as my basis, although I did make a couple of small changes, I’m pleased to report that it was loved by its recipient, although it did lead to another cushion for my own Mum, also for Mother’s Day (details to follow in a later post) and a request from Plum for a sheep cushion, which has been added to the ever-growing list of things my children have requested I make them (which I secretly love, although they have no concept of the time it takes to create these things!)
