100 Happy Days – Day 45
Today started with a trip to our favourite “local” butcher (actually a 25 minute drive away), to stock up the freezer – a whole loin of pork, 5kg of chicken fillets and 2kg of lean minced beef. When we buy in bulk like this we get prices and the meat is really good quality – and tastes so much better than supermarket meat.
On the way home, we stopped off for a treat – a boatload of hazelnut latte for me! The children chose drinks and cakes and we had a nice fun, relaxed half hour or so before browsing the bookshop. Plum asked for a writing practice book, which kept her happily engaged all afternoon. I’m not concerned with whether or not she can form letters at three years old, but it’s helping her motor skills so it’s all good.
Sounds like a nice productive afternoon.
Sounds like a lovely day – can’t beat Costa!
I think everything tastes better than the supermarket – we do a veg box – so lovely and tasty 🙂
Great post
