A Challenge for April

AtoZ ChallengeSo it’s April first and I am wondering whether I have played the mother of all jokes on myself.

I have signed up to a blog challenge for April. It’s a couple of years since the last time I did a blog challenge and then it almost killed me. I had to post every day in January and the effort was immense. These days, I post pretty much every day as it is – and often twice a day, due to the 100 Happy Days project, so that side of my new challenge doesn’t worry me.

alphabetThe bit that worries me is the actual challenging bit! To post every day (except Sundays) in April, with the focus of the post beginning with a certain letter, moving through the alphabet. I don’t know if I’ve explained that well. Each day, the focus will begin with the next letter of the alphabet. Today, being the 1st, the letter is A. And the focus isย Anย A-Z Challenge forย April.

The challenge for me is that I like to post about things that are relevant to me at the time, so thinking about and scheduling in advance to make sure I meet the alphabet requirements each day is going to be hard. I’ve no doubt that some will be easier than others, but I’m thinking of going hunting for Zebra and Quail (armed with a camera, not a gun) to fulfill two of the requirements.

Watch this space. It’ll be “fun”. Or something.

  1. Good luck in this challage! I’d be terrible at it as I don’t deal well at being restricted in regards to what I can post.

  3. I guess you are going to the zoo on April 30th….

Enlist Cian for Quidditch 101 on the Q day.

  4. I share your worries. First time I sign up for something like this. We’ll see how it works out, but normally blogging every day is to much. But I’ll do my best >:)

  5. I get your worries, yet you’ve made a good start. I thought of not having a theme but panicked at not knowing what to talk about each day, I think I fit better within parameters, myself. But really I’m sure finding something each day to talk about starting with a particular letter won’t be as hard as you think. It will be fun! ๐Ÿ™‚

    • you’re right of course. I’ve just checked and I already have ten of these posts scheduled, another ten sketched out and six where I have no clue. I shall be spending my time panicking about those six!

  6. Wishing you all the very best with the challenge. I’m in too and hoping I can keep up. Hopefully we’ll manage. Yes Q, X and Z are a bit concerning, but at least I have some time to think about those letters ๐Ÿ™‚

  8. My first time too… some “easy” letters have been a lot harder, and I found I was repeating myself a bit, although different words it was essentially the same topic… and there are some I just haven’t a clue about yet!

First week is done though so it at least gives me time to come and read other blogs ๐Ÿ™‚ Good luck with the challenge!
