Wordless Wednesday: Save a Life

Sadie Rose Clifford

This is my last wordy Wordless Wednesday.  Please do read it.

If you read this blog regularly, you will have already read about Sadie.  Don’t go!  Stay, let me remind you.  At 14 months old, previously healthy Sadie was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma.  She has undergone 16 months of intensive and, at times, life threatening treatment. Her parents and supporters raised half a million pounds to pay for 8H9 treatment at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Centre in New York.

Whilst having her pre-treatment scans, further tumours were found.  Sadie’s parents were told they would need to raise a further £150 000 ($234000) to pay for the revised treatment plan.  They have just over 6 weeks to raise this money.  The alternative is to bring Sadie back to England where her doctors will keep her as comfortable as possible, but where the end will be inevitable.

Can you help?  Any amount you can manage will help Sadie.  From the UK, you can text SADI99 £10 to 70070 (or SADI99 £1, SADI99 £2 SADI99 £5 – you get the picture).  From anywhere in the world, you can donate at Sadie’s Just Giving page http://www.justgiving.com/sadie-rose-appeal

Stories like this just break my heart. Keeping Sadie in my prayers and trying to resist the urge to pull my healthy children out of bed to give them a squeeze.
