As I mentioned in a previous post, I was lucky enough to receive two Kirsty Allsop craft books for Christmas and I have been keen to start trying my hand at some of the projects in them.
After lots of reading and umming and ahhing, I finally decided to make Plum a patchwork quilt and matching pillow. Plum is 13 months old now and she still sleeps in our bed. We’ve decided it’s time to ease her into her own room (the decluttering challenge is helping with that, since we need to transform the old office into a bedroom fit for Plum) and I think it would be lovely to have a nice quilt and pillow ready to complete her room.
I looked at lots of different fabric choices, but have decided that I would like it to be a quilt she can keep with her until she’s an old lady, should she choose to, so didn’t want anything too babyish. Anyway, the fabric is ordered and has been shipped today, so very soon I should be able to start work on it. I’ve decided on a mix of blue and lilac, by the way.
I’ll let you know how I get on 🙂
