it’s great news. Where I live though we have some of the lowest rates in the UK, so I’ve trained as a peer supporter to try and do something to help lift those numbers!

  4. What a beautiful tribute and reminder.

When I gave birth to my youngest son almost two years ago, they were promoting breast feeding by having a newscast come by, so my son was a tv star from his very first day of life:)

  5. I was the first (and as far as I know) and only woman in my family to breastfeed. It was difficult at first, but quickly became a rewarding, bonding and beautiful experience.

you can read a series of breastfeeding stories here on my blog all week, from those who had a really rough time but stuck with it to those who loved it from the first moment, and even one story from a Dad’s point of view.

  6. Hopefully one day our society will come to recognize and accept the benefits of this vital natural process.

  7. Lovely breastfeeding shots… I don’t dare take such shots with my kids.. I too advocate breastfeeding and have been breastfeeding all 3 of them.. I’m still breastfeeding my #3 who’s 9mths old.

I fed my son til he was about 25 months, my daughter is 6 months and still happily guzzling 🙂 Tomorrow I graduate as a Breastfeeding Peer Supporter

I’m a mom of seven breastfed children. Currently feeding my last baby. I am so happy to see that you are promoting breastfeeding awareness on your blog. I actually didn’t know that it was breastfeeding awareness week. I had planned to do a tutorial on a nursing top. I guess I better get after it. Thanks for the reminder and great shots!
