Interview with a … four year old

I’ve read a few blog posts recently where people have interviewed their young children and then reported the results, so here are the (brief) results of my interview with Bean this afternoon.

How old are you?  Four

How old are Mummy and Daddy?  Don’t know *thinks some more* Ten

Who is in charge of the country?  Mummy

Who is the Queen?  Mummy

What’s your favourite food?  Carrots and peas and brocolli

What’s your favouite song?  The runaway train

Where do carrots come from?  The ground

What do you do at nursery?  I play with toys

What does Mummy do when you’re at nursery?  Teach big boys and girls

What does Daddy do when you’re at nursery?  Just work

How does a car work?  You turn the engine on and you brumm off

Where do babies come from?  Mummy’s tummy

What do you want to be when you grow up?  I want to be a BIG Daddy!

What will you call your chuldren?  Umm George and Beth

What is something Mummy always says to you?  wowsers bowsers bright green trousers (it’s true)

What makes you happy?  When you don’t shout at me (we hardly ever shout! Honest!)

What makes you sad?  When you do shout at me (arrghh! My child is making me out to be a scary, shouty mummy!)

What’s the best thing in the whole world?  *shouts and puts his arms round us*  LOVING EVERYONE!

  2. This is great! I love that he correctly identified that ‘Mummy’ rules the country (don’t we all!)

    I’m definitely going to have to follow suit and interview my newly 4-year-old too. I will reference Barefoot Mahala on the blog when I do.
